Detailed roof photographs
Visual roof documentation
When you need a clear view of the roof—but not a thermal scan—I capture organized overhead and angled photographs of the roof surface, penetrations, drainage areas, edges, and visible conditions.
The practical version
What this service is—and what it isn’t
This is often the most practical starting point for a property manager, roofer, buyer, or building owner. The goal is not to turn photographs into a formal roof inspection. The goal is to create a clear visual record that helps the right professional review the property.
A good fit for
- Pre-bid and maintenance documentation
- Hard-to-access roof areas
- Before-and-after repair records
- General commercial property files
Important limits
- The drone does not touch or probe the roof
- Photos cannot confirm hidden damage
- This is not a code inspection or engineering report
- Some areas may be blocked by trees, parapets, or equipment
Deliverables
What you receive
Straight-down photographs showing the overall roof layout.
Angled views of edges, penetrations, drainage, and visible concerns.
Files named and grouped so they are easy to share with a contractor.
Scheduling
The flight is planned around the job—not the other way around.
Visual roof work is less dependent on thermal conditions, but wind, rain, airspace, and site access still matter. I’ll confirm the flight window after reviewing the address.

Questions
Common questions
Do you provide a roof condition rating?
No. I document what can be seen from the air. A roofer or qualified inspector should make condition and repair determinations.
Can you photograph a steep residential roof?
Often, yes. The quote depends on the property, surrounding obstacles, and airspace.
Can the images be used for an estimate?
They can support a contractor’s review, but the contractor decides whether additional measurements or on-roof inspection are needed.
